Ford Mustang Service Manual In Focus
A creation of the Ford Motor Company, the Ford Mustang is an automobile introduced into the market on April 17, 1964. The Mustang brought about the creation of a class of American automobiles called the “pony car” which are sports car-like and with long hoods and short rear decks. This automobile is the company’s third oldest nameplate series still in production. Like any other car out there, the Ford Mustang is also in the need of a car manual and so, the Ford Mustang Service Manual.
For every generation of the Ford Mustang, a Ford Mustang Service Manual also exists. This is because since the line’s creation, integral changes have and are being made every couple of years or so. With these changes, the manual would then be requiring a revamping to adapt to the modifications in the machine. So far, there has been five generations of Ford Mustangs which would have entail five major revamping of the Ford Mustang Service Manual.
The first Ford Mustang Service Manual would have come out in connection with the first generation Ford Mustang which set the trend for future Ford Mustangs. The automobiles manufactured for this generation was smaller than those of the first generation and definitely more fuel efficient because of the 1973 OPEC fuel embargo. The automobiles of this generation were said to be based on the Ford Pinto subcompact. The automobile’s small size allowed it to compete with the then becoming popular Japanese automobiles which had gained the public’s approval because they took up a whole lot less space than most brands of the times.
And then came along the third generation Ford Mustang, which would again have meant another revamping of the Ford Mustang Service Manual and motorcycle repair manuals. The automobiles which belonged to this generation were the ones made between 1979 and 1993. Those of this generation were modeled out of the Fox Platform which was developed from the Ford Fairmont and Mercury Zephyr. Those of this generation had an interior which could sit four people comfortably regardless of the fact that it had a smaller rear. Another thing about those of this generation was that they had larger trunks and engine bays to make service access a lot easier.

The fourth generation Ford Mustang is said to have undergone its first major redesigning after fifteen years. The automobiles of this generation are those that were manufactured between 2004 up to the present. The automobiles of this generation have been dubbed as designs of retro-futurism.
