Affordable Honeymoon Destinations
Less Expensive but Great Honeymoon Destinations
We all know that weddings are expensive. With all the many details surrounding the wedding and honeymoon, things can get rather pricey quick. Making the honeymoon a special part of the wedding planning, will help to give you a life time worth of cherished memories. The honeymoon is the perfect way to relax yourselves after a busy wedding ceremony, be treated like royalties and enjoy all the amenities of luxury. Honeymoons can be costly so it is good to be frugal, because they are well worth every penny spent. While some may have the money to enjoy an all-expense luxurious honeymoon get-away, it’s also easy to create the romantic ambiance and enjoy the perfect honeymoon vacation without busting your pocket book.
To plan your honeymoon, you can first get familiar with off-peak seasons and the perfect times to visit places. People who get married in January often visit places such as, New York, San Francisco and Washington DC. February is a popular month for weddings and people often honeymoon to destinations based on good priced packages, and it is a good time of year to travel to Celtic Ireland or the Netherlands. If you are honeymooning in March, Los Angeles is very affordable or you can also get good vacation packages for a Honeymoon Caribbean cruise to Jamaica. The best months to visit Hawaii are often in May or early June and depending on the airline carrier, you can find nice packages to Mexico during these months too. July honeymooners can find good deals for travel to Memphis or Tucson and people who get married in August, can get a nice complete package deal for honeymooning in Las Vegas. The month of September is known for good fare rates for traveling abroad to Japan. In October, you can head off to Costa Rica and in November, go kayaking at Lake Tahoe or enjoy the flavor of Dominican Republic. Any air travel near Christmas can be hectic and expensive, with many flights often easily delayed if the weather gets bad however, a December honeymoon can be just lovely in places such as, Jamaica or St. Lucia or even a train trip throughout the United States.
Here are five travel destinations you can explore on your honeymoon, offering you the perfect romantic thrills, without the worries of an empty pocket.
London. There are several airports to choose from, the most popular being Heathrow and Gatwick, and depending on your departure city, the price will vary at these destinations. Even though the air travel is often more costly than other European destinations, you will find the abundant choices in restaurants, hotels and overall activities are very attractive. A honeymoon vacation to London is something that can be reasonably affordable, as long as you plan ahead and do some research.
Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Playa Del Carmen, Mexico offers lovely quaint vacation rentals, villas, beautiful beach houses, condos, and resort accommodations that you can choose from for your honeymoon. You will be able to enjoy many outdoors activities together such as a ferry boat ride to Cozumel island or take a snorkeling adventure to experience some of the vibrant sea life near the shores.
Malaysia’s Tioman Island Located in the South China Sea, Tioman Island is the largest of a group of 64 volcanic islands and is East coast of Peninsula Malaysia. Tioman Island has been noted by Time magazine as one of the world’s most beautiful islands. The rainforest that covers Tioman is rich in life and the waters are littered with numerous white coral reefs, making it a much-sought after destination for snorkeling or scuba-diving. Perfect for a weekend getaway, it will allure you with the serenity and comfort under a tropical sun and all for around $100 a night or possibly less. The island can be reached via ferry from the mainland; a good two hours ride that is perfect for dolphin-sightings.
Buenos Aires How about a romantic honeymoon to Buenos Aires, where you can wind down, relax, feel the tranquil breeze, enjoy delicious food, visit museums and shops. You will find wonderful places to shop with entertaining street performers near by. You can choose a few days or weeks depending on what you prefer.
Viva Las Vegas Las Vegas is one of the most popular wedding and honeymoon destinations in the world, as there are endless possibilities of entertainment, activities, food, luxury hotels and resorts. There are many cheap vacation packages offered by many hotels and resorts, with discount rates for lodging, meals and entertainment.
Taking a romantic honeymoon together is something that you don’t have to travel to accomplish, it is totally up to you. Scout your local area for some place you can explore. Even keeping it simple, the two of you can celebrate in your new home alone, which can also prove to be a very private and romantic honeymoon experience.
