Flight Jet Simulator For Combat Flying
Flight jet simulator are games that provide an environment that is similar to those that jet fighters experience in real life. The simulators that the military uses are much more complex and realistic than those you can use on your computer but you can still have a lot of fun if you cannot afford flying lessons but still want the thrill.
The very first simulator for a computer was developed by Microsoft in 1982 though since then they have greatly improved. The big breakthrough in gaming simulators was when PlayStation 1 released its Air Combat. Today these programs specialize in certain time periods, aircraft and even specific battles.
The three main combat flight simulators available from Microsoft include Combat Flight Simulator WWII Europe series, Combat Flight Simulator 3: Battle for Europe and Combat Flight Simulator 2 WWII Pacific Theater. If you are looking for the most realist software then you should check out the IL-2-Sturmovik series available from Ubisoft.
Most of the simulators you can find for combat will be sorted depending on their historical period and the type of jet or plane you will be flying. You can find simulators from WWI flying the Red Baron and another program the Ride of Flight: The First Great Air War.
There are many more gaming programs available for WWII such as Battle of Britain II: Wings of Victory, Aces Over Europe, 1942: Pacific Air War, the Combat Flight Simulator series, Il-2-Sturmovik 1946, B-17 Flying Fortress and Aces High to name a few. You can experience the Korean War with MiG Alley and the Vietnam War with Flight of the Intruder.
What makes these flight jet simulators exciting is that you need to learn how to fly all the different planes as each has it own fighting style and flying strengths and weaknesses. This means that each situation can be experienced a new over and over. This type of simulator is known as a survey simulator and the jet controls you use are very close the real thing.
