Indiana State Attorney Supports Live Ammunition For Wisconsin Demonstrators
A government official for the state of Indiana was revealed to be the source of Twitter remarks recommending, "live ammunition" against protesters in Wisconsin. Blogging site Mother Jones found the source of remarks advocating deadly force against unarmed protesters in Wisconsin had come from Jeffrey Cox, an Indiana deputy attorney general. His superiors were notified, and Cox was terminated. Post resource - Indiana official advocates use of live ammunition on protesters by Newsytype.com.
Origin of remarks really was an Indiana lawyer
The pro-union and anti-union supports have found something to fight over due to the Wisconsin protests over collective bargaining rights for union workers. When popular website MotherJones.com posted on its Twitter page that Wisconsin state police were possibly going to be sent to the capital to clear crowds, a Twitter user with the user name JCCentCom responded "use live ammunition," according to MSNBC. JCCentCom said that “deadly force” on protestors “threatening public officials” is just fine to do. This was during an exchange between JCCentCom and MotherJones copy editor Adam Weinstein. The Twitter account and a now-defunct blog on Blogger.com called Pro Cynic were found to belong to Jeffrey Cox, a deputy attorney general for the state of Indiana.
This leads to lawyer’s firing
After calling pro-union demonstrators and members of unions such as the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) "thugs," Cox went on to say that firing on demonstrators could not be "murder" because it is not illegal for police to use force. He said that union employees were like the “SA,” which is the non-military Nazi members in Germany called Sturmabteilung. He said the union employees were also “brown shirts” in posts. The remarks were forwarded to the Indiana Attorney General's Office, who conducted an internal review of the remarks made. An article on the comments made by Cox was written on MotherJones. This led to the announcement that Cox got terminated by the Indiana Attorney General’s Office.
Intriguing prank call to governor
The Los Angeles Times explained that Governor Walker in Wisconsin had to deal with a prank call that came from Ian Murphy on a New York blog. He pretended to be one of Walker’s campaign contributors, David Koch. Governor Walker admits a plan to get the Democrats back into Wisconsin in order to vote on the union collective bargaining bill while on the phone call. He also outlined a plan to systematically rid states of union employees working in government jobs. Walker has yet to remark on what he said.
