The Point Of Bike Rally Patches
There is no doubting the fact that bikers have their own culture which consists of their own unique lifestyles, their own way of doing things and looking at things and their own idioms and vocabulary. To be a biker is to be somewhat unique in an American culture that seems to pride itself in homogeneity. Yet in the biker culture, individuality is both celebrated and a necessity. That is why we have numerous biker patches.
One of the best examples of the individuality of bikers is the bike rally patch. Most bikers like to have a biker patch for every single rally that they go to but there is no way that they could put all of these patches onto one biker jacket or vest. Seeing which patches have been chosen to be attached to the leathers of the various bikers is very interesting. The deciding factor for many bikers is the biker rally that they enjoyed most; others will simply choose to attach the biker rally patch from the last rally that they attended.
Bike rally patches can also be used to show other bikers which rallies that you have been to as well as helping to create individuality for bikers. There is a communal bond in this, similar to the bond between police officers, firefighters, and military personnel. Many bikers feel a certain bond with another biker if they have both attended the same rally despite the fact that they might be strangers.
Bike rally patches can therefore be seen as a conversation starter for bikers. By simply recognizing that you've been to the same rally, you're able to strike up a conversation with other bikers willing to share stories and experiences. This is one way to get to know other bikers and is a real ice breaker. However, you should remember never to argue over any of the rallies that you have attended whether it was Sturgis, Daytona Beach, Laconia or Myrtle Beach. Every one of them is great!
All enthusiastic motorcyclists understand the importance of having the proper attire, so introducing custom motorcycle patches to expand your existing riding wardrobe is an absolute must. Motorcycling always seems better somehow when you dress the part while displaying all your great patches.
