5 Easy Steps To Clean Chrome Store Fixtures For A Polished Look
Remove loose dust and dirt, use vinegar and alcohol as an alternative for commercial chrome cleaner, wash with soapy water, polish and buff the chrome for a shining result, and remove any remaining rust left on the fixtures are the steps that you will need to follow to properly clean your chrome fixtures.
Chrome fixtures are one of the most attractive and strong items ideal for storage furniture, jewelries, and other household appliances. However, chrome will quickly dull and wear out. To always maintain a polished look on your chrome fixtures, follow the easy steps given below:
Remove loose dust and dirt
Use a microfiber duster or a lint-free microfiber cloth when cleaning your chrome fixtures and materials. This will easily remove any loose dirt on the surface of the chrome plated fixtures. Remember to clean your fixture at least two times each week. Doing this will make your chrome fixtures neat.
Use vinegar and alcohol as an alternative to commercial chrome cleaner
Use a spray bottle to easily spray the commercial or alternative cleaning ingredients on to the chromed items. White vinegar is a helpful organic material that can be use in cleaning sticking dust and dirt. Alcohol is also an effective cleaning detergent that cleans away dirt. There are also other alternative cleaning remedies that you can use in case a commercial cleaner is not available. Baby oil and aluminum foils are excellent cleaning agent that can remove rust fragments accumulated on your chrome fixtures.
Wash with soapy water
Use a liquid soap or soapy water when washing chromed plated items or fixtures. This is to prevent the damaging soap residue accumulated on the surface of your chrome fixtures. Never use any steel wool or pads when cleaning chrome fixtures. This will scratch and damag the chrome surface.
Polish and buff the chrome for a shining result
With a microfiber cloth, use a spray when applying the washing detergent directly on the chrome. Remove the stains and oil found on the fixtures. Do this repeatedly until all the blemishes and stains are removed. Let the fixture dry and wipe it well with a microfiber cloth for effective polishing.
Remove any remaining rust left on the fixtures
Also check if the chrome still has rust and those hard-to-remove stains on the corners. If one is found, simply spray it with any stain or rust removing agent and let it stand for 10 minutes before wiping it with a microfiber cloth. This will help you clean those hard-to-remove stains or rust.
