Metal License
Anyone know how I can 'borrow' a 'scrap metal dealer license #' in Tucson, AZ to get more $ for all my metal?
I live in Tucson, AZ and my husband just located a HUGE load of scrap metal (aluminum) that he is getting right now. We want to take it in, hopefully tomorrow, to the metal shop to get paid. However, we do not do this for a living. I am disabled and on SSDI and my husband is my unpaid caretaker and we have 5 kids. **So my question is: Does anyone know where we can 'borrow' a number from a 'scrap metal dealer' (i dont know if it has to be in Tucson, AZ or could be from anywhere???? in the US) so we could get more money for our aluminum. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for reading.
First of all, you should just take the metal into a place that pays a fair price.
What you seemingly want to do is illegal which makes me think right away that you did not "find" the metal in question, but rather acquired it via dubious circumstances and wish to bypass the id requirements. If we knew who you were we would not buy from you at all and neither would anyone else ever again.
Secondly, there is no longer a "license" for dealers. That was done away with recently. The only way you can get a better price than the public is if you are a company and have a long established relationship with a scrap dealer + volume which you do not have and never will if you keep trying to pull stuff like this.
